John, if you have a leak and can't seem to find where it's coming from, there's a chance it could just be blow by from the vent on top of the trans.

My first thought is that it could be the torque converter seal on the trans leaking down the bellhousing on to the pan mounting flange. If you know anyone in your area who could dye check it for you, that would be the best way to find it. Having the cable off or attached will have nothing to do with a leak--the cable doesn't have a seal or gasket. BL
