If the tranny has set up for awhile, especially a TH350, the nose shaft seal may be leaking. Its sometimes really hard to figure out where they are leaking from. The air stream blows the fluid towards the back making you think its the pan seal.

There are a couple of gremlins, that maybe you all can help out with: I have replaced the tranny gasket twice and it still leaks. I used hi-temp RTV only on the pan side the first time, and on both sides the second time. What the F does it take to make one of these puppies not leak? The backup lights come on when the shifter is between park & reverse. They are off in either of those positions. Is there any adjustment for this? Thanks, John Nasta
