So what do you think about rebuilding a 307 engine? I have a 327/275hp out of a 68 Caprice. It is complete from the original carb. to the oil pan. (it needs rebuilt) I'm 43 and I'm trying to look at this in a practical way BUT some times we need that afternoon kick in the pants trip down the interstate......(looking for Mustang GT) and a 307/powerglide just doesn't do that.....Maybe I just need to grow out of it and keep it stock? All it really needs is valve seals and a little freshening up. That powerglide....it whines and it is like running 70MPH in second gear. Thanks for your input.
