I have a 70 Chevelle convertible. I'm wondering what to do as far as a restoration goes. Should I rebuild my numbers matching 307/powerglide (OOOOOOOOO) or set it to the side and build a 350/350 turbo and put in it????? Any thoughts? The car is really clean and dependable but with 116,000 miles the 307 is getting tired. What should I spend the money on??????

================================== Matching numbers is just not my bag...nor is investing in cars my bag..

BUT having as many smiles per mile, and hearing the rumble of a nice exhaust system ,
and actually feeling the "pulse" of the engine all along the RPM range is my bag..

Now that I have said that... you already know what I would do... My only questions would be
ZZ4 or a stroker... for the engine...

Honestly I only have one car that is an automatic..and I would be seriously looking at a newer auto with overdrive... all really depending on the rear I had in the car...

But my major point is ...Make yourself happy... smile as much as possible ..if you want to
Invest great...but do not do it with cars...
