Stock BB bottom ends are fine and can handle a bunch of power. A two-bolt 454 block can easily handle 700hp. I built my 454 on a budget all at once, best motor Ive ever had, runs 7s in a 1/4 on pump gas(400hp) and i dont have to work on it every week end very dependable.
