I hope to get better numbers after it's in the car and we can work with the carburetor some. The guy running the dyno took my carb off and put a custom job that was on the shelf on my engine and picked up 17 more horses without any tweaking (469hp). I just can't afford custom stuff like that though.
BTW, I forgot to mention I'm running L78 heads. Although I did get the heads rebuilt, I did not have any porting or polishing done.

- Thanks Clint..It seems like I spent 2500 blue printing and balancing that 400..What about a roller cam? not really familiar with them, but hear a lot of talk about them..I'll keep you posted..I really want to put the 396 back in there..tom
