Marsha lol you cracked me up and made me laugh thank you.. Nope Mija is no "teacup" and after I seen that. I looked it up and it said the same as you did minus the Mija comment lol.

I promise you Mija is not a "teacup"....because there is no such thing as a teacup. There are smaller chis and larger chis, but terms such as "teacup" "toy", "tiny", ect are just terms used by unethical or uneducated breeders in an attempt to price their pups higher.
 
There ARE standards. The standard for a chi is 6 pounds or less......but a chi that doesn't meet standards is still a chi. I have a 2 1/2 pounder and a 7 pounder....the 7 pounder is as much a chihuahua as the 2 1/2 pounder.
 
So....hope that answered your question, lol. Mija is a chihuahua...a teacup is something you drink tea out of, lol

Mija is only 3 and a 1/2 pounds wondering if she is considered a teacup my vet has never mentioned that to me. Yes I have not met one Chi that didn't think they was 10 feet tall and Green lol. I also was not a chi lover either I always said no way I don't want one of them. But when I rescued Mija my heart melted and now I am considering rescuing another one.

Hi my name is Brenda Walsh.  I'm chi sitting my brothers baby.  His
name is Little Man.  He's about 8 months old and thinks he's Cojo :)
He's black and white with big ears.  I'm told he's a teacup one but
he's around 5 pounds and he loves to lay on the back of my couch like
a cat would.  I'm not sure how long I'll have him.  My brothers trying
to get a house and needed me to take care of him.  I'm not a chi fan
but Little man has grown on me.  He's pretty cool.  He love my mix
breed dog who is 40 pounds at 7 months old.  Well going to go for now
