Well, I have 8 of them. They are the love of our lives.
Each and everyone has it's own personality.
Mine do not bark, unless some one strange comes into the yard.....
And then within 3 minutes they are all wanting to be petted and loved.
I have had NO health issues with any of my Chihuahua's..
I have an acre and it is all fenced and gated, so mine are inside outside dogs.
They love the sun and heat.
The babies do well, with an electric blanket turned down to low, with a towel over the pad.
I just got a new one last week, 8 weeks old, and she uses the puddle pad every time....just lucky on that one.
They are affectionate, loving, and will give you more joy than you can even imagine.
Chihuahua's can have a bad wrap.
I would like to see the mother and father before buying one.to see it's temperament
I have sold many puppies, and everyone who has bought one of mine, always calls back and wants another, because they are so precious.........
You wont be sorry, but will be delighted, and wonder what you ever did before this wonderful Chihuahua came into your life.
Do not buy from a pet store.................

I was afraid of the rumors as well, but like you I love animals, and really wanted a chi more than anything in the world. I finally got my girl, Gordie, about 2 weeks ago, and she is great. Yes, sometimes they have health issues, but if you choose right, you should have a lot of fun with a new pup. I got Gordie at 8 months old, and she is just the love of my life.
