I have 5 chis. One is a sd that goes with me most places, but when he is home, he and two others stay in my room and they will hold it for over 24 hours and not potty. They are not crated or confined at all. I have another that is still a puppy, so he stays in an x-pen when I am gone. I also keep the last one in there with him because, while she is housebroken, she just don't care, lol. She CAN do better, but she is an alpha and it is kinda one of her control things. She just wants to show me she will do what she wants. So of 5 chis, only 2 are ever contained due to using the bathroom in the house.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] I am considering adopting a chihuahua, can chihuahas make it 9 hours w/o walk

I am wondering. I am considering adopting a chihuhaha. I used to be a
pet sitter, so I walked dogs mid day. I am wondering if most of you who
can't bring your dog to work have a situation where you come home mid
day, or if the Chihuahuas can make it through the day without a walk (9
hours), or do you crate them and they have pee pads. As I was a pet
sitter, I really don't know what the majority do.
