I gave mine a bath when she was 4 weeks. I used warm water and a puppy shampoo,
also used a just out of the dryer towel (you need to check it out first,
sometimes towels come VERY hot from the dryer) then dry her coat very well and
then, let her/him play, eat and go back to sleep. My chi enjoyed the bath very
much and did just fine, the most important is to keep the temperature stable
while you're bathing him/her and while is drying it's coat. Chis have a
tendency to lose their body temp. very fast. Having clean pups is as important
as any other thing with any pup. Do not use a dog shampoo, use only a puppy
shampoo.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Bathing a puppy

Is there a certain age where you can start bathing a puppy. I am not
sure how often or when you should start this with a chi pup?
