Cesar is 12 weeks old and he had his last vaccination yesterday. The vet tech explained that another ingredient (can't remember the name and I assumed it would be listed on the invoice but wasn't) was added to the vaccination and that in "rare occasions" it was known to cause an allergic reaction that might include swelling around the face, itching, and appearance of weakness. Adding, that if it was going to happen, it usually happened within minutes after the injection and that some vets recommended you stay at the clinic for and extra 10 minutes or call them immediately if the symptoms occurred. However, when the vet came in and I asked him, he said no need to wait, that it was an extremely rare occurrence. He gave Cesar the injection and he didn't even finch. However, he is waiting a month to give him his rabies injection. Poor babies! Gloria
