you mention he is a puppy, so you gota look at it pretty much the same way you would look at a toddler. How do you stop a toddler from whining when he doesn't get his way??? You really don't...it is just that age. He is testing you, trying to see how far he can push for what he wants. If you give in, you teach him to cry and get his way. If you don't, he eventually learns that whining don't work.....But, like a human baby, he is gonna try it to se how well it works. Marsha
