I learned in the past with other puppies and my own children not to acknowledge or pick them up when they are crying. I told my husband, absoutely not to pick up Goliath when he starts to whine. We started him out from day 1 with this, determination in mind, and he is the Best puppy we have had. He has lots of toys that I ordered from Pet Edge. Pet Edge is probably one of the most reasonable places to order toys, clothes, etc. I know for a fact, that clothes they have at Petland are the same as Pet Edge but I can buy them for around half the price. I ordered a Exercise Pen from them and it was such a great price and just the right size for Goliath.

stop whining. He whines when he doesn't get his way, whenever we leave
the room he's in, and any other time he feels like it. Believe me he
is definately spoiled and gets loads of attention!!! Also, he is
always underfoot and has been stepped on (accidentally) many times.
