Sheila, I had a maltese female like that. She bit a chunk out of my daughter's leg when she came to visit from out of town. She took off the top of my husband's hand when he was opening the gate to the front porch and come in from work. She bit every visitor if I didn't lock her in the bathroom, so people definitely had to make an appointment. There was no controlling her. And she was gorgeous. And I loved her so much. When she bit my husband, he was very good about it, bandaged his hand, I dialed the phone and called my groomer and told her she had to come and get the maltese female and find her a home, don't know how she could but she would have to or I'd have to call the County. She came and I handed her over to the groomer, sat down in the kitchen floor and cried for an hour, hurt for weeks. But I recovered. There was no way I could let her keep on going. My groomer, poor thing, it took three families but she finally found a couple who took the dog and got her trained, that took a lot, the dog was about 3 years old. But I had to do it. There was no other way. Life hurts sometimes, really bad. Jeannine
