I hate to have to write this, but I am running out of options. I took in a Chihuahua- Chinese Crested mix girl from someone that could not keep her. (I was told she was Chinese Crested, but she IS a Chihuahua/ Crested mix.) Anyway, she came on Friday, but would not let me handle her at all. On Saturday, I noticed a discharge and called the vet. I was told to bring her in Monday (today). I took her in and it turns out she has Pyometra. The surgery to save her is $900, which I don't have. Without surgery, she will likely die, so she has to have surgery. I applied for CareCredit, but it was declined, so now I have to ask strangers for help. I have also looked online at a few sites that are supposed to help. IMOM is not accepting any new applications and most of the others exclude emergencies or for some reason she is ineligible. If you can help with even just a dollar or two it would help. I don't have PayPal, but the vet should be able to take a credit card over the phone (I haven't asked them, but think they can.)
