There is a country vet where my husband is from in PA that charges I think 30
for males and 50 for females. We paid 30$ total for 2 dogs to have vaccinations
and checkup and also for the cat to have her teeth checked and for antibiotics.
I'm sure part of this is because his dad has a beef herd that he uses her for
but still, she is wonderful with the dogs/cats and has several in her office
that are office pets.
I know my neighbor goes to one about 20 min from here that is a "country vet"
that is pretty cheap (not as cheap as the one where my husband is from but
still)
If you have a rural area outside of where you live that treats livestock as
well as dogs/cats they are usually pretty reasonable. We are usually able to
get an appt on a Friday night.
When I lived in Canada I always took my cats to the SPCA and they were always
very reasonable.

I'm a little confused. The treatment is for her to be spayed, so
you are saying the vet will charge $900 for a spay? Please let me know, the
vets in my city (i'm in Ft. Myers) cost about $200 and there is even a low cost
clinic where you can get one for $65. If she only needs a spay then driving a
little ways will pay off in this case. Please let me know.
