You mean they lose it completely before growing new ones?

Yes, my Belle lost her puppy fur at 3 months and
now at 4 months I see her adult coat coming in. The breeder we
bought her and Daisy from said it can even be 18 months before it
was complete but I was just wondering when she would actually look
like a long haired chi. When I tell people she is a long hair they
don't believe me because she is just now growing in her adult coat
and little Daisy is going thru that " awkward" stage where she just
lost her puppy coat.
