I too worried when I first noticed the hair was disappearing! The strange thing is that I had bought at least five books on Chihuahuas and none of them mentioned the possible hair loss, nor did the breeder. The first I heard was on this list when I asked and someone said it was called "blowing coat" and that it happened to some but not all long coats. Then, I bought an older book at a second hand book store and it had a brief mention of it. Gloria
