I am told it varies from dog to dog. In fact "some" (and Cesar did) long hairs "blow coat" and lose their long hair at about 3 months. So, since 4 months of age, it has slowly been growing back. The vet told me he would be a year old before he got his full coat but I have read on this list that some take longer than that. I gave Cesar a bath yesterday and I could really tell how much his coat has grown/thicken, especially, over his hind legs. Looks like a skirt and when I dried him with the hair dryer, it really looked long and full. I am going to look for a photo I took a few weeks ago. Gloria
