Maxx is going through the same thing and he's 8 months. Someone on
this list said it's because they are in their adolescent age and
they're now testing rules. Kind of like human teenagers huh? For a
while, he would refuse to sit. No matter how much a hold on to his
bottom to sit, he would freeze his legs straight and wouldn't budge.
In fact, I thought he had *forgotten* how to sit at all!
Now he remembers and will do it upon command. However, lately, when
I call him, he would come but when he is a few steps close to me, he
would run away again like he's being playful. So I am sure he knows
his name and knows that he is being called but when he's on his way
and you are waiting, he will run and expect you to run after him!
Yes, as fast as lightning is a good description! He bolts and leaps
throught the floor like his feet don't even touch the ground!
Ahh, teenage phase, I guess.

Maybe a treat will work, a toy won't. He used to come when I
called him and I always praised him but lately, he just acts like
he doesn't even hear me and if I go towards him, he starts playing
"catch me if you can". He can run in circles, fast as lightening.
