That dog usually has a large litter, but most chis do not have that many...3 to 5 is about average. And yea, it is perfectly normal for none of the pups to really look like one of the parents. Most of these pups took the merle gene from the sire. You should come join us on chiexpressions1 and get the details from Cindy, since I am not really knowledgeable about this particular dog or about merles in general.... Marsha
