Claudia,

You understand training. I have had Rotties before and they
were doggie and human socialized from puppyhood - gentle souls...
used for Therapy work.

I am against trainers who beat their dogs into submission, therefore
breaking their spirit...Fostering pooches who are terrified of human contact
is the result of people abusing them. Just like human domestic violence.
Sickens me!!... I wish there were a tougher sentence for jerks that abuse
animals.

Being the pack leader of our group has worked, however Luna our larger Chi
likes to
alert me when the big dogs are eating out of the little dogs bowls - the first
one to see who is
at the door, breaks up toy ripping & Turbo the unneutered male Chi peeing on
any of
the groceries that was just bought and brought in the house.
She'll growl and bark! and gets a treat when she acts like a "security guard"!

The Chi's are the most spoiled though!! I tend to be over protective of them.
Funny, my husband who is a Golden Retriever lover is now a protective
grandpa - dad to his little girls!

So more i watch it I'm glad they do.I trained dog's for years but never been
this harsh.I understand that with a lot of dog's you have to be a strong
leader.But there is no way

That you train a dog in a day with out braking his ore her spirit.I trained to
many dog's that people give up on and some of them that there spirit taken it
is sad to look at.So yeas I'm glad they say this i would not try most of his
training.I did first like him but I change my mind after closely watching him
for a wail. Now training Brutus and Sissy well we don't want to talk about
it.They listen well but there are my little Baby's.They don't bite ore bark all
the time.
God bless you Brutus,Sissy and Claudia

I really dislike that they use the words Don't try this at home on his show.

I like the trainer on It's Me Or the Dog. She uses positive reinforcement
techniques. I occasionally watch Dog Whisperer but DO NOT like Ceaser's
training techniques at all! He is too forceful and doesn't use much positive
training.
