That is why I just take what I need from his program and leave the rest behind.
I haven't read any of his books. Obedience training is man's way of handling
dogs,
as he said... Dog psychology is what he offers when correcting wrong behavior.

I didn't realize the walk is very important...something that has worked well
being in a pack situation.
I train in Obedience Competition, and am open to all different methods of
training. It's interesting.

I have almost all of Ceasar's books and I've been really disappointed that he
repeats things that have happened to him in his past instead of giving training
tips on how to train your dogs. :( The only book of his I've found very useful
is his newest Journal book. Even if you don't read his books and such it's a
great way to keep track of the progress that I make with Jaelyn's training.

One other thing that bothers me is that he starts his show with saying 'I am
THE Dog Whisperer'. He should be saying 'I am *A* Dog Whisperer'. :/

Yes, it kinda makes you wonder. If you can't "try it at home" then how are
people supposed to use the techniques to train their own dogs? What's the
point of the show? Pure entertainment, I think.

I really dislike that they use the words Don't try this at home on his show.

I like the trainer on It's Me Or the Dog. She uses positive reinforcement
techniques. I occasionally watch Dog Whisperer but DO NOT like Ceaser's
training techniques at all! He is too forceful and doesn't use much positive
training.
