That is why I just take what I need from his program and leave the rest behind. I haven't read any of his books. Obedience training is man's way of handling dogs, as he said... Dog psychology is what he offers when correcting wrong behavior. I didn't realize the walk is very important...something that has worked well being in a pack situation. One other thing that bothers me is that he starts his show with saying 'I am THE Dog Whisperer'.
