I don't do hot very well and he doesn't either. Gloria P In a message dated 8/15/2008 5:05:11 P.M. I haven't read any of his books. Obedience training is man's way of handling dogs, as he said... Dog psychology is what he offers when correcting wrong behavior. I didn't realize the walk is very important... something that has worked well being in a pack situation. I train in Obedience Competition, and am open to all different methods of training. It's interesting. Even if you don't read his books and such it's a great way to keep track of the progress that I make with Jaelyn's training. One other thing that bothers me is that he starts his show with saying 'I am THE Dog Whisperer'. He should be saying 'I am *A* Dog Whisperer'. :/ Jesslan Foster Mom @ Shih Tzu & Fur Baby Rescue - http://www.stfbr. com/ Volunteer @ Chautauqua County Humane Society - http://spcapets. com/ Furever Mom To Doggy - Jaelyn Furever Mom To Kitties - Lucius, Gypsy, Kylee and Ethaniel Visit My Kitties, Doggy & Fosters - http://mdnyhtkyss. com/cattitude/ ----- Original Message ----- From: Stefanie Brannan To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ups.com Sent: Friday, August 15, 2008 11:40 AM Subject: RE: [Chihuahuas] Question Yes, it kinda makes you wonder. If you can't "try it at home" then how are people supposed to use the techniques to train their own dogs? What's the point of the show? Pure entertainment, I think. She uses positive reinforcement techniques. I occasionally watch Dog Whisperer but DO NOT like Ceaser's training techniques at all! He is too forceful and doesn't use much positive training.
