Rose, first a dry food is much better for them over all than a canned food
is. Definitely cut back on the table scraps, lol. As far as chicken
,ect....a lot of people have good success on a the raw or barf diet.

But, the best idea I have come accross for weight management...and this
was told to me by the vet when we took mom's Chiffon in to do something
about her overweight.......is green beans. We were told to cut back on her
dog food, but allow her all the green beans she wanted. Green beans have
no calories or anything..are mostly water...so they fill them up and make
them feel not hungry. Just make sure the cans are plain green beans in
water with no additives.....
