The only thing I can think of is more chew toys? I don't believe your hubby is hurting her in the long run. She is a chi and they always do get their feelings hurt. She has to know that hurts. One thing I do is holler loud and in a shrill voice like a puppy would do when in pain...they seems to get it across better? Hoping it gets better, Mare

I know people on this group has said to hold them down until they calm down. my husband does this and it works but the look on her face kills me. she is quiet for a long time after. I am concerned that it will change her. I dont want a trained dog like on the dog whisperer. they only move when he lets them. i like an independent dog. is this going to hurt her.
