chew toys????? lol  she has one within an inch of her nose at all times..
there is two large cardboard boxes with the sides cut down that she can crawl
in  full of toys and chews. of course as with all little creatures human and
furry they are all over the floor.  they still want the toy the other dog has.
lol.  The vet said she was marked like the wild dog of africa so we call her
the wild dog of connecticut. all of this is said with lots of love for the
sweetypie.

May God walk with you today.

The only thing I can think of is more chew toys? I don't believe your hubby is
hurting her in the long run.
She is a chi and they always do get their feelings hurt. She has to know that
hurts.
One thing I do is holler loud and in a shrill voice like a puppy would do when
in pain...they seems to get it across better?
Hoping it gets better,
Mare

I am haveing a little delema with Dora. Keeping in mind i like the
fact she is so full of life and enjoys everything and i dont want that
to change. She does know what no means and she stays when i go
outside. Working on come. The delema i have is that she uses me for a
chew toy and sometimes it takes a multitude of nos to get her to stop.
I know people on this group has said to hold them down until they calm
down. my husband does this and it works but the look on her face kills
me. she is quiet for a long time after. I am concerned that it will
change her. I dont want a trained dog like on the dog whisperer. they
only move when he lets them. i like an independent dog. is this going
to hurt her. I also want a good dog. Sorry this is so long.
