That's the wonderful thing about having a group like this. You can
vent about things without starting something with an adopter like
that. I will tell you my daughter and I have been through this about
3 times. Everytime we have been through exaustive explanations about
what to expect and how to react. They bobble their heads and give
the right answers but they are not really listening.

We have actually started requiring adopters new to the Shiba breed to
start reading a couple of web sites on shiba behavior and articles on
Puppy Millers before we allow them to adopt. Yep it has driven some
people away but at least they see what to expect and don't drag the
pup along with them eyes closed. I'm glad she returned Chico to you
and he's no worse for the wear. There is a family out there for him
and you will find it with him. Look at how Theo found us and we
haven't ever had a Chi before!

It might be a good idea if you are talking to any local rescues
especially small dogs to let them know of your experience with her.
Nothing in writing but just a factual heads up that they need to
interview her throughly before adopting to her so they don't end up
with a bounce either.
