I did come to that conclusion... call me slow <LOL> We had a chow and a pit terrier at the same time and both were wonderfully sweet dogs. I have to admit that folks were more scared of the chow and everyone was amazed that the two girls got along. The pit grieved and grieved when our chow died. Neither dog was aggressive but our vet did tell us that he was aware of the lines for both and he thought they were both wonderful. Maybe we just lucked out? You know the old saying about not knowing what we were doing and everything working. We did get a few strange looks, though <G> a case of fools rush in where angels fear to tread?

Just an aside on Chows, I have found their agressive actions to be particularly problematic as it is so very hard to read their faces and body language. I can deal with a rough pit because I usually know what he is thinking from reading his face and body so I am a step ahead of him, but not so much with Chows.
