I don't think it has anything to do with the sex of the dog. I think it has to do with how they are raised. They are going to bond with the person who takes care of them the most and is nice to them. Monster is a male and is bonded to me but also loves my fiance. My mom has a female that is bonded to her. We've had other females that bonded to me, my mom, and my stepdad. If she gets a rescue, its going to depend on its past. In my opinion, It has nothing to do with the sex of the dog.

My friend is in search of a chihuaua but is adamant that only male dogs will bond with female owners. I disagree because Jill is closer to me than my husband. Reggie's dog is a male, and they are best buddies. I promised her that I would ask the group and poll the opinions. I thinik she's way off base but am anxiously awaiting your responses. Laura
