Honestly, if I saw your dog I would ooohhhhh and aaawwww too. I saw a cute little yorkie pup that a woman wasn't trying to conceal. She was in Wal-Mart. It was a hot sunny day. She didn't want to leave the poor dog in the car. However, she had the dog with her and needed to pick up her medication.
The lady in the front would not allow her to take the dog into the store. She threatened to call the police and the health dept. I was surprised at her point, but learned that they can lose their license or be fined (which would be a drop in the bucket at big chain stores). It would still be a mark against them. They want to be in the good graces of governing offices. She left with her dog. I felt bad for the lady. On a personal level I didn't think it was a big deal, but I could understand in another way. That yorkie was adorable! I would have stayed outside with the dog and accepted doggie kisses while she got her meds, but I didn't think she would trust a stranger with her precious baby.
