That must have been horrible to know what was happening and not be able to  
help the parents save the baby robins, Peggy.  I could hardly stand to read 
 it.  You're so right about nature and its cruelties sometimes.....

We had tears in our eyes and could actually feel their pain. Their was no  
doubt in our minds that they were mourning their loss. It was incredibly  
sad, and I lost some respect for Blue Jays in general. Nature can sure be  
cruel sometimes.
