Well…I really have never read what bi-polar is, but obviously a lot of people that know my sister have. She lives in Central Calfornia and I live in North Las Vegas, NV. She calls me. I have started to not answer calls until I see who has called. It is worth me making a return call. I wonder sometimes how someone can have that and not be on any meds or anyone else around them noticing. She has double personality…very sweet to others. When we were younger, everyone loved her…sweet girl. At home…different. Maybe it goes back to when she was a teenager? I wonder if double personality is a precursor to bi-polar.

I had called her last Saturday to tell her about the tumor and surgery. When she asked me what I would do if I went blind, I just said, What can I do…Can’t really sue because of the stress and arbitrations…but she just blasted in after the word ‘sue’ and accused me of suing too many times and only hearing ‘Ch Ching, Ch Ching. Actually, I had to have an attorney for the two rear-end collisions that changed my life and continues to do so, and I had two work comp injuries that required attorneys. She has had probably six or seven work comp suits and one or two civil suits for auto accidents…I guess she has forgotten about that. Then she started screaming on the phone about her having Hodgkins Lymphoma twice and that my other sister was dying of Pancreatic Cancer…then she said I made her ruin an $8 steak. Social Security doesn’t pay me enough to pay my bills and I certainly would never buy an $8 steak. She called my brother after that and was telling him about me and she was so strung up that he told her that she has to remember that there are other people that have problems and that she has to stop being so wrapped up about my other sister and she needs to remember that there are other people in the family that have problems too. Then she called me up at 1 am yesterday (my birthday) and talked for 3 hours. She asked me if I opened the present that she sent me and I told her that I didn’t (I was going to mail it back to her!). She just keeps flipping back and forth. I don’t need that stress right now. I have so much to do to get ready for surgery and now I have Desi with his affliction to take care of. I really have a hard time when she flips, and I don’t know which is her real feeling…the good or the bad. I am having the surgery and like I told someone today, I am having surgery to remove a tumor on my brain and not a face lift. There is a huge difference of doing something that is not a time issue as opposed to a tumor on the brain. Thanks for the prayers and good wishes. I do hope that everything goes well. I think that the biggest thing for my siblings and me is that we have only moved to the oldest living generation three years ago. And the natural thing to think is that we don’t die until we get older. My brother actually has Hepatitis C, and my other sister has had Hodgkins Lymphoma twice. I have the spinal problems and have been told and believe that the tumor on my brain is benign. My brother has never really got past my mom’s passing, and he wanted to be the first one to be with Mom again. I feel a peaceful feeling about her…and I know from when my mom was in her last weeks, that being there it was very peaceful and so I guess that is why I have this feeling. If hospice is involved, then I don’t think it will be anything different. But being caught in the crossfire because how dare me have a tumor on my brain when my sister is dying. I don’t take it personally, but it does hurt when I hear that type of stuff. I have to remain calm and peaceful so that I can prepare to recuperate from my surgery next week. I can pray…and I do.
