I sat on the floor with Jill/Dorie (both chihuahuas but came in at separate
times) and held them in my lap. I let each of my dachshunds come and sniff
them while the dachshunds were leashed in case they got too excited for the new
ones. Then when they did not growl or snarl, I gave them each a tiny piece of
Pupperoni. I then took them outside and let them get used to each other a few
minutes at a time. I would pick up the new dog and hold her then put her down
to run around with my dachshunds. Patience and persistence is definitely the
key.

Hi Laura,

How did you introduce them when a new rescue came home the first day?
