It isn’t bad…it is actually smart. If you have the capital to get it printed and distributed, then you are far better off because then you get the full profits from sales. Cut out the middleman when you can!

I’m using Kindle and iTunes, so I end up with far more back, money-wise, than I would with a traditional publisher. I get back 70% of the asking price from Amazon (minus minimal electronic delivery fees) on my purchase price. iTunes is less, only returning 60%, but I’ll likely see more in my own pocket that way from each venue. But I am going over it myself to edit it, as well as having others going over it (who have excellent spelling, grammar and WTF skills) to make sure there are no glaring errors. Nothing annoys me more than seeing something published that looks like it was proofread by a drunken four year old orangutan with dyslexia. Lisa From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Joan Croft Good for you. Sometimes the editing takes more time than necessary. I used to work for a book publisher, so they will also edit after you. You do want the manscript to be edited to the story, but if you get hung up on something, or miss something, it will be fixed prior to publication. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Illiterati Photography I just finished the writing end of things at around 5am PST. Now it’s time for the editing to start. Wee?
