The BD169 looks a little more obscure but
the 2N4923 is a drop in and Mouser has the ST device at a whopping .34 cents.

Ptot 2W (is this an error in the database? The first replacement is
a 20W type)

Hfe bias=0.15A (so hFE=10 ?; can we trust this data?)

second replacement 2N4923
