Could you fill me in as to how you were able to retrieve this info from the ONSEMI site.
I get no results from a search of that number.
Also Harry, how could I gain access to the database you referred to.
Thanks
Jim

The ON semiconductor site suggests as direct replacement the 2N4921Hello Group,
I have exausted all of my extensive resources in search for a Motorola MJE720 transistor in a TO-126 case for a 400 watt per channel BGW 750C power amp. I am having absolutely NO luck finding any info on it.
Does ANYONE have a source or as a LAST resort a legitimate sub.
It is functioning as the bias transistor with 300 volt MJE340 and MJE350 complimentary devices as pre-drivers in the same case style which I had no trouble obtaining data for.
Any info would be appreciated.
In an old transistor database I find:
MJE 720 NPN
VCEmax=40V
VCBmax=40V
VEBmax=5V
ICmax =1.5A
Ptot 2W (is this an error in the database? The first replacement is a 20W type)
hfe>=40
Hfe bias=0.15A (so hFE=10 ?; can we trust this data?)
first replacement BD169
second replacement 2N4923
