Recently I had the same problem with the same model of laptop. After measuring voltage levels at the filter caps and finding nothing unusual, I gave up on component level troubleshooting of the board. I bought a parts laptop of the same model which didn't work by itself either and combined the good parts of each to make one good laptop. Of the two main boards in the laptop, it was the board containg the power supply that was bad in the original one. I hope this is of some help.
