I have encountered a number of EXAR chips that were in amateur radio
service.

A search of my library has not turned up any literature yet. Soo....
relying on my tired old brain, I recall,

The XR2203 _may_ be a Bell 203 compliant modem chip that was used in 1200
bps amateur radio low-speed packet radio service.

There was also a XR2206 FSK modulator used in similar service.

A search of the EXAR web site at http://www.exar.com does not turn up
anthing - S000.......

I suggest that your next step would be to contact EXAR at the above URL and
post an inquiry to their Tech Support group for further info on this now
probably obsolete product.

I agree that the Xref of XR2203 to a ULN2003 has to be an error.

    Best wishes, Bob Smith
