It's not.  In my 1986 Exar databook, it says the XR-2201/2/3/4 are Exact
Replacements for the ULN-2001A/2A/3A/4A.  The circuits shown are identical
also.

For what it's worth, Hong Kong Inventory and a couple of other trading
companies do list the 4517535 part number with a.92 date code in Signetics
and/or Philips.  They don't say what it is though.
