There are IPS packages of the CIFS server available at pkg.opensolaris.org . Start up the "Package Manager" GUI tool from the System -- Administration menu. Then in the search box type "smb". You should then see the SMB server packages listed. The SMB client packages should already be installed as denoted by the green tick next to them. Click the checkbox next to the required packages and press then "Install/Update" button on the toolbar. Once it finished, you should then have the CIFS server installed.
