Yah, you have it...and alsa is running... This is weird...... Three questions... 1. Have you tried using the ubuntu package that's been made and see if that changes anything? 2. Have you tried killing artsd and then running cinelerra? Also if that works you can run "artsdsp cinelerra" which will give cinelerra access to arts if that's the problem. 3. Do you have gnome or another window manager installed to see if it's a kde specific problem? Hope one of these works (I'd try 2 first, since cinelerra DID work).
