Well.... buy yourself a dvd authoring software then. I cant see the
point of having cinelerra doing the job that other soft are doing. To me
it's like having a radio that can make toasts: it just adds complexity
to the lot and cinelerra does not need it.
As for FX, most of what I can see on broadcast TV is ugly. It's a bit
like garden gnomes : the less the better.
You have to make the difference between make up and painting.
It's like themes, I just don't care about the size shape and colors of
icons or whatever. I need something that I can run for 25 hours non stop
using farm rendering for color correction.
Can you do that with Windows machines ? At least one computer will
freeze up sometimes during these 25 hours because a screen saver will
start up. I never had a single problem of that with cinelerra. That is
priceless and much more important than templates/gimmicks/crappy FXs.
