...and as a small ISP myself, not only is the 'sale' of a managed
service defeated, the time I spend on my work, as well as the work of my
support crew is completely compromised, given that with too much
knowledge, the people at the other end of *your* CPE is going to 'test'
things that will, as you know, have that phone ringing...
Even for a small ISP, if your service has been good, and they don't have
to renumber, then give them a price. I'm sure there are a good number of
people here who will be honest to you off-list on what a good service
fee is for a 'managed' CPE solution.
