That's why for pure Layer 2 Ethernet switching, I'm happy with both the Cisco 3560G and Juniper EX3200/4200 platforms. But if I want to turn those into the "Layer 3 switches" that the world has since become, something tells me I'd want the Juniper most times. It's biggest issue now is the code (lots of catching up to do). While the hardware isn't as great as what you get in the routing platforms (obviously), it works much more like a router for a switch (oh my, did I just say that?) when you need it for "basic" IPv4/IPv6 routing/forwarding.
