Hi Rich, The moment you configure a subint on an int, the int does not sense anything layer 3. when your csu or in your case the routers are connected together the int will show up-up.For the subint to sh up-up your layer must be ok, therefore your ip address must be properly configured. You therefore need to check your ip addressing on the subints and ensure that they are in the same subnet(same subnet mask). Rgds, AK
