Yes !! Keep your spirits up, everyone. You may not have the employers lining up outside your door anymore. You may have to do more company research, interview preparation, etc. You may have to relocate. You may not get those 1999 salaries. But the jobs are there. Go out to Monster or Dice or whatever job search engine and do a search on Cisco, CCNP, or CCIE (31 hits for Silicon Valley today for CCIEon www.dice.com). Yes there are still jobs out there. Use human networking, word of mouth. Getting a job in a downturn market is very possible but it does take work.
