Dear C Mitchell,
You can email AKC and inquire if the litter has been registered. You will
need the AKC numbers of the sire and dam and the date of birth of the
litter. If you don't have the AKC numbers, you can get them from the AKC
website in the AKC store section. The email link to AKC is at there website
also. www.akc.org
If the litter has not been registered, there isn't much you can do except
complain to the breeder.
A further note, the breeder may have the papers and just not sent them.
Last week, I found some papers for a puppy that I thought that I had sent
several months ago. The owner of the pup had not contacted me and I was
blissfully unaware that they were in the stack of transfer papers on my desk
until I looked through the transfers for another one. These things happen.
All the best,
Susan Cochran
