Call the AKC now.  There is a time limit on registering puppies and yours is
about up, I think.  I think you may have a problem.  I got my registration
paper at the time of purchase.  Made a copy, and sent it to the AKC myself.
I hope you have a sales contract that lists the sire, dam, their
registration #'s and date of whelping.  That will help trace the papers.
AKC does loose papers, however I would always keep a copy of the originals
and if I didn't get them back within a few weeks, I called them, as the
breeder.  It sounds like your breeder is either not ethical or lazy.
