>From my persepctive, if one is truly putting the welfare of the Cavalier
first it seems to follow that this would be done. First, many of those who
voted against the AKC did so purely because they thought it wasn't the best
thing for Cavaliers at that point in time to be recognized by the AKC. I
know I did so in hopes that we could stave them off for another 2, maybe 4
years--without a single thought that the AKC would change their minds--I was
only hoping for a short postponement.

Once it all happened, well of course since I still wanted to put the welfare
of the Cavalier first, so I knew there was no way I would ignore either
because if I did so I would be putting the welfare of a club or registry
before the welfare of the Cavalier as a BREED. So from my perspective it
makes perfect sense!

As you can see--we all have different perspectives and I can't consider any
of them wrong.
